All Our Futures 2 Conference

My talk will focus on my school out reach project, “Education through Expedition”. I use expeditions to report credible eye witness account of the world around use directly into the classroom. I employ the technology so that students as young as 5 years old can ask questions directly to my satellite phone, I can then reply via sending blog and pictures back through to the classroom via my website. This helps make the classroom and fun and inspirational learning environment. My past 3 year project has been focusing on the Inuit people on Baffin Island, my solo winter arctic expeditions and my summer projects where I take students out on arctic fieldwork trips. My message is simple;

“The future of the human race depends on educating our next generations on environmental awareness” and “Dare to dream, believe and you will succeed”
