Polar Fun Days For Schools
Our “Polar Fun Days” is a school package designed to both inspire and educate students about the Polar Regions. A combination of assembly talks and activity resources ensures that an entire school can participate in a fun day that they will always remember.

“Antony is an inspirational and charismatic speaker who engages with his audience, whether they are school students or adults. His message is simple, direct and disarmingly truthfull, as he speaks from his heart and direct experience of the many expeditions he has completed. His concern for our environment and the Innuit people is genuine and he will continue to support efforts to raise awareness of the effects of global change.”
Jill Bailey, International Development Officer, Plymouth City Council
“Antony has been very successful in making expeditions to the Arctic and highlighting concerns about global warming particularly in Baffin Island. He has visited schools in and around Plymouth stimulating young people to learn more about climate change, the Inuit population, the Arctic and Antarctic and Scott’s centenary. He is committed to arousing the interest of young people through his community interest company Education through Expeditions and Plymouth is very pleased to be able to work with him. Several schools hope to contact him by satellite phone and blog during his expedition to the North Pole. He has agreed to be a keynote speaker at a regional conference for teachers organised through the south-west international education network.”
Chris Dickie
“I’ve arranged for Antony to give 2 talks over the last few years to the expedition society (ExpAnd) at the University of St Andrews. Both times he has completely captivated the audience and we have had fantastic feedback from our members. Antony goes above and beyond what he is required to do and sits down to think about how he can help. He’s been fantastic for providing us with contacts and also for starting a link with Education Through Expeditions, his non-profit company that encourages learning through interaction with people on expedition.”
