Graduate Internship Opportunity

Web Researcher/Content Developer
Plymouth, Devon
Salary: £300 per week
(Anticipated project duration – 8 weeks)

 The role:

Education Through Expedition, in partnership with the University of Plymouth’s Graduate Internship Programme, is seeking to employ a graduate on a paid internship to start end of July 2010. We are looking for a Web researcher/Content Developer to support Education Through Expedition in researching expeditions/scientific organisations/conservation projects and establishing links between them and Education Through Expeditions. You will be responsible for web updating and need to be experienced in the use of HTML.

 The person:

You will have graduated during 2008, 2009 or 2010 with a minimum of a Foundation degree but ideally a BSc (Hons) Computing and Web Technologies or similar degree, from any UK university or Further Education College. The successful applicant will be a self starter with plenty of initiative and ideas. The highly motivated individual will be hard working with practical experience of supporting senior management as well as having experience of working in an educational setting. An awareness or interest of climate change, education and exploration is desirable. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of web applications and social media and skilled in the use of HTML, Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop. Must be experienced in conducting marketing research and have practical experience in dealing with customers. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and prioritise time is a key requirement.
