Marketing Assistant

Salary: £300 per week
(Anticipated project duration – 8 weeks)

 The role:

Education Through Expedition, in partnership with the University of Plymouth’s Graduate Internship Programme, is seeking to employ a graduate on a paid internship to start immediately. We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to support Education Through Expedition in the development of a web based learning resource for a school outreach project. You will be responsible for helping to apply for grants, liaising with current sponsors, organizing fundraising/media events and researching new sponsors and potential expeditions.

 The person:

You will have graduated during 2008 or 2009 with a minimum of a Foundation degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Media, Professional Writing, and Business Studies or similar from any UK university. The successful applicant will be a self starter with plenty of initiative and ideas. The highly motivated individual will be hard working with practical experience and knowledge in a range of marketing tasks including press releases, updating website content, mailing lists and medial. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in branding, marketing and sales activities and skills in the use of MS Office. An awareness of climate change, education and exploration would be advantageous to this role, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and prioritise time is a key requirement.
