I have now returned from my latest expedition, surviving 52 days on the arctic ocean and successfully skiing an estimated 550 miles, reaching the Geographic North Pole on Earth day – 22nd April 2010.
My team and I had an especially hard journey as they often had to negotiate cracks in the ice called leads, by either swimming across or jumping from frozen floating lumps of ice, weathering storms and temperatures as low as -50 degrees C with wind chill, ski against negative drift, climb over pressured ice and keep a wary eye out for polar bears. Despite all of this the expedition was a huge success.
I am now as keen as ever to give as many talks as possible in as many venues as possible and tell my story and pass on my experiences of surviving on the arctic ocean. My talks can be tailored to different audiences including;
Schools, Colleges and Universities
Youth Organizations and clubs
Events
Dinner speeches and corporate talks
After 3 years of traveling in the arctic and living with Inuit communities, I have collected a huge amount of HD photographs and film footage. My talks can be tailored for a number of different topics and themes including climate change in the arctic, issues facing the Inuit and who they are, the animals that live there, and the importance of team work, leadership and good communication.
I would be delighted to hear from you and for you to here my story. Please don’t hesitate to drop me an email at;

“I found Anthony’s approach to life and work so inspiring that I asked him to address my team of leaders. They loved hearing about his challenges which gave us inspiration to develop new approaches. I look forward to involving Anthony again.”

‘The children were enthused from the outset, especially the quieter ones! They had so many questions. The concept of the sea being frozen, at times, was difficult to comprehend, considering we are a coastal school. The childen were able to make many comparisons with their everyday life. As we do not have a vast amount of cultural diversity, and those contacts that we have tend to be with a hotter climate, this was an intriguing way to deal with this as well as all the environmental issues that arise,’
Susie Evans – Head teacher at Wembury Primary School.
“Anthony is an inspirational and charismatic speaker who engages with his audience, whether they are school students or adults. His message is simple, direct and disarmingly truthfull, as he speaks from his heart and direct experience of the many expeditions he has completed. His concern for our environment and the Innuit people is genuine and he will continue to support efforts to raise awareness of the effects of global change.”
