It is with great pleasure to officially welcome Ashfords and Bishop Fleming as the first sponsors for my community interest company, Education Through Expeditions. Ashfords support with the start up of the company and Bishop Flemings help with the company accounts and payroll has been crucial with the day to day running of the company. The run up to the Christmas period was a very busy time indeed. December saw the finalization of my partnership with Plymouth University and the moving into new offices on the university campus. The University of Plymouth, ‘the’ enterprise university, is a dynamic and ambitious institution of which I am proud to have been given the opportunity to be a part.
In February 2010, I will embark on my greatest expedition to date: to ski to the Geographic North Pole and be one of the few Britons ever to have done so. In so doing, and in collaboration with Plymouth University, I will collect vital data which will be used in climatic modeling research. I am currently seeking sponsors for this expedition.

Antony plans on becoming the first Briton to obtain the North and South Geographic Poles as well as ski across Greenland in just 12 months. He has already completed Greenland and will now focus on reaching the poles by the end of May 2010.
I am extremely excited by our first few meetings and find Lee’s ideas and enthusiasm truly inspiring. It is great to find people who share the same drive and determination to succeed in Plymouth. I really look forward to working with Lee and producing our first range of T-Shirts.
I have been lucky enough to have obtained a fellowship this year which has been a great benefit to my last expedition. Not only the extra funds but also the level of support from the trust itself. The letter of introduction to my work help gain the trust of the Inuit communities and was worth its weight in gold.
If you have an idea for an expedition, the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust is a first stop for making it come true.
It is with great pleasure to announce the support of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust. The Trust’s grant others to cover the costs of flights and insurance of my next project which is a great help to any expeditions budget. As a prestigious trust it also adds extra support to the credibility of any project.
