A simple must for any cold weather expedition is Tent Booties !!! Tent booties are down filled slippers or boots which allow your feet to recover after a hard day on the ice. I can not describe how it feels to get out of your expedition boots and get your feet into the down comfort of your tent booties. Oh its sooOOoo good. There’s a couple of different makes out their but I’m a big fan of Rab’s slippers which are pictured above.
Disaster struck yesterday! I had managed to misplaced one of my tent booties and was in a bit of a panic the past few days trying to find it. Then it dawned on me, I must have left it in my Inuit homestay on Baffin. A massive thank you needs to be said for “Tower Ridge”:http://www.towerridge.co.uk/ based up in Scotland for being able to ship me out a pair at short notice. They also stock a complete expedition range of products form climbing to polar.
Your tent booties is a must, especially for a long expedition like crossing Greenland.
Thank you Ricky from Tower Ridge.
